Today was the first day we began to play with the parachutes because I just received them through the mail yesterday, but they love them! We had a blast going 'arriba' (up), 'abajo' (down), 'a la derecha' (to the right), 'a la izquierda' (to the left), and 'de bajo' (under) them! It was also fun reviewing all the primary colors on the parachutes in Spanish!
Our children are emerged in the study of Spanish through conversation, games, songs, and cultural studies.

Me (I) gusta (like) jugar (to play)!!!!!
PK, K, and 1st grade Spanish students are enjoying 'playing' outside in celebration of la primavera (the spring). Activities such as playing with pelotas (balls), aro de hulas (hula hoops), paracaídas (parachutes), saltar a la cuerdas (jump ropes), burbujas (bubbles), and tiza (sidewalk chalk) are just some of the fun the children have been having. Students are also playing 'Duck, Duck, Goose' (Pato, Pato, Ganso). The children shout "Me gusta jugar!" (I love to play!) while we are playing. We are having so much fun!
