Elementary Spanish Update

The past few weeks have been busy for all Spanish classes.
PK has been working on learning "The Sign of the Cross", about our "Madre de Dios" (Mother of God, Maria), and how to sing the chorus of "Jesus Loves Me" (Cristo Me Ama) in Spanish. I am so proud of them.
Kindergarten has been saying "The Sign of the Cross", "Mary, Queen of All Saints", and has been learning about the Blessed Mother. They have also been singing the chorus of "Cristo Me Ama". As a matter of fact, the kindergarteners went to the office and sang for Ms. Scalet!!!!!
1st Grade has been learning "Maria, Reina de todos los santos, ruega por nosotros." (Mary, Queen of All Saints, Pray for Us.) They have learned about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins, Mary being the "Madre de Dios (Mother of God), and have sung the entire song, "Cristo Me Ama".
2nd Grade has reviewed "The Sign of the Cross", "Maria, Reina", and have sung the entire song, "Cristo Me Ama". Second grade has also been busy writing simple sentences using descriptive adjectives. This week they will work on writing and speaking in Spanish. They will write a short paragraph about themselves and will share it with the class. Second grade is doing an amazing job in Spanish this year!!!!
Grades PK-1st will continue working on simple weather phrases.
