Spanish Festival 'Around the Corner'

Students in grades PK-8 are busily working on the final touches of Spanish projects for our upcoming annual Spanish Festival. The festivities begin on Tuesday, May 1st, during lunch. PK-2nd eat from 11:30 to 12:00; 3rd-5th eat from 12:05-12:30; and 6th-8th eat from 12:35-1:00. Parents are invited to join their children for a Hispanic lunch prepared by the "Alcott" family. Reservations are required. At 1:00 p.m., Mrs. Wantiez's Music Classes will perform Hispanic Dances (grades PK-2). Beginning at 1:15, students will follow a rotating schedule visiting exhibits from 23 Hispanic countries. Students will make arts and crafts, play games, visit a Food Tasting Exhibition, and visit a Colombian Exhibition. Students will carry passports and have them stamped as they travel through the countries. See you there!
