Spanish Classes Learning About "Ropas"

The Elementary Spanish classes, grades PK-2, have been working on learning about articles of clothing. PK had fun playing games with clothing items. The teacher would call out the name of a clothing item in Spanish and two students would run to a pile of clothing and pick out the matching one. Then they would put the item on and run back to the next student in line. It was great fun!

All grade levels made a boy and girl on construction paper or cardstock and dressed each. They then labeled each item of clothing. PK-K glued the clothing names on (with teacher supervision). 1st and 2nd grades wrote the clothing items on their papers. 2nd graders also read a paragraph about clothing and determined the meaning of the Spanish "clothing" words within the paragraph.
