PK-8th grade Spanish students are preparing to celebrate at the annual Spanish Festival being held this Thursday, Cinco de Mayo (May 5th). Students will eat Hispanic foods for lunch with family members. Then, all students in grades PK-4 will perform Hispanic dances. After that, the 3rd grade will perform a short operetta called "Don Gato". Finally, from 1:30-3:15 students will rotate to Hispanic crafts, dancing, games, a Fruteria (where they will sample different fruits from Hispanic countries), and then travel through 23 Hispanic countries (with a passport to be stamped in each). Students look forward to this event every year. There will be great fun for all!
Our children are emerged in the study of Spanish through conversation, games, songs, and cultural studies.
