Students in the Elementary Spanish Clubs will be celebrating El Dia del Amor y Amistad (The Day of Love and Friendship). It is a holiday celebrated in most Hispanic countries. In Mexico, it is also known as "El Dia de San Valentin" in reference to the famous Saint.
The children will learn about the day and how it is celebrated by giving flowers, candies and balloons to romantic partners. It is also a day to show appreciation for friends!!!! The children will make cards to give someone they love.
